How to use this tool
- Disconnect Bluetooth if you want to try the device’s own speaker. Remove the case if it blocks the opening.
- Choose 30, 60 or 90 seconds. Start at a comfortable volume and stop if the sound is unpleasant.
- Keep a wet device away from charging cables. Follow its manufacturer’s water-exposure guidance.
What is a water eject sound?
A water eject sound is a low-frequency tone played through a speaker. Here, the Water Eject tool plays a timed, gently pulsed sequence generated by your browser. Choose 30, 60 or 90 seconds and stop at any time. The timer tracks playback, not the amount of moisture in a device. We do not measure water removal or guarantee a speaker repair.
Before testing a phone speaker
If your phone has been submerged, shows a liquid warning, feels unusually hot or has visible damage, follow its manufacturer’s instructions before using it. Disconnect charging cables from a wet device. To check the built-in speaker, select it as your output and disconnect headphones or Bluetooth if they are receiving the sound. Keep the volume comfortable; a longer or louder sequence is not evidence of a better result.
Compare the sound, then choose the next step
Keep output and volume settings consistent when comparing before and after. If the sound remains quiet, distorted or absent, stop repeating the sequence and use the left and right speaker test or the audio troubleshooter. A playback tool cannot confirm that the inside of your phone is dry. For an iPhone liquid alert, consult Apple’s official liquid-detection guidance.
