How to use this tool
- Open this page on the touchscreen device and press Start full-screen test. Trace the grid with a finger, covering the center, corners and edges.
- Try several fingers together, then lift them. Continue until all 48 areas show a touch mark. Mouse and stylus input remains a separate preview.
- After the last touch is lifted, choose Return to results to review coverage and the maximum simultaneous touch count. Use phone or browser Back, or Escape, to leave early.
Understanding your results
Filled cells show received touch input. Empty cells may simply be untraced areas. The maximum count is the number of simultaneous finger contacts reported in this test, not the device’s advertised hardware limit.
Look for gaps in touch input
Move slowly across the grid, covering the center, corners and edges. If a line consistently stops in the same place, clean and dry the display and your hands, then repeat. A screen protector, case edge, system gesture or browser behavior can interrupt input. Compare with normal use in another app before treating a repeated gap as a hardware fault.
What a multi-touch test measures
Touch points are counted while fingers are down inside the test area. The largest observed count is kept until you reset. Browser and operating-system gestures can reserve some combinations, so the number shown is not a specification or certification. A mouse or stylus is labeled as a preview and does not fill the finger-touch result.
Test the full viewport, then return to your results
Start full-screen test expands the grid across the available display without floating buttons over it. The return control appears only after all 48 areas receive finger input and you lift your fingers. Use the phone or browser Back action, or Escape, to leave earlier. Where native fullscreen is unavailable, the grid covers the browser viewport; browser bars, cutouts and reserved system gestures can leave inaccessible areas. Rotating or resizing starts fresh coverage. No touch coordinates are sent to our server.
